Use this section as an aid to identification and especially to compare commonality of  parts across the 924 series and with other makes and models. Some prices from recent purchases are included. The prices are neither current or lowest. Just what members have found.  The parts numbers may not be current! The only definitive parts reference is that of a current dealer reference.

I thought you might be looking here for it: this is the cork gasket which so often leaks. Cause its a cork gasket, that's why. So much for the art of German engineering. Anyway, easy to replace and a whopping $1.00!!

  924/T 1976-82 7.21659.70.0 Fuel pump (external) This is a Pierburg replacement fuel pump which can be used to replace the original fuel pump in all early 924 and 924T (not 924S). The part number given is the Pierburg part #. It is a new generic aftermarket pump of high quality (Pierburg is a subsidiary of Hella), and comes with an array of fittings and electric terminals that allow it to fit all the cars. It is an excellent replacement choice for the early '76 and '77 cars, which must otherwise use a very expensive Bosch replacement pump. It is also expected to last longer than the stock Bosch pump, due to a better internal design - more tolerant to dirty fuel.
